A Wedding and a 5:45a.m. CompuTrainer Class

Sunday was supposed to be the day of my first marathon! I had already processed that it wasn’t happening so it wasn’t a terrible day. The girl who bought my bib told me she qualified for Boston. I was happy for her! She was so sweet and kind for reaching out to me. I am glad we were able to do a transfer so that she could get her Boston slot. Someday I will run *just* a marathon. July 2015 will include a marathon, with a 112 mile bike ride and 2.4 mile swim preceding that. Yikes!

I did not workout Sunday. I keep trying to tell myself it is okay to not workout. Once Ironman training starts, I am going to wish I could skip a workout, I am sure. I am trying to just chill until November 1.

Since I wasn’t able to do the marathon, Mark and I were able to attend my friend’s wedding. It was a beautiful day for a wedding in Upstate New York. The ceremony was at a local church and the reception at a well-known country club. It was beautiful! The food was great, and the company was, too.


We left a little before the reception ended as Mark and I both had to work the next day. Unfortunately we did not get Columbus Day off.

Monday morning was the first CompuTrainer class I was leading of the first session at Bike Loft East. I did not want to get up, yet I had been awake since 4:30a.m. with anxiety about getting up early. Weird, I know! I finally dragged my butt out of bed and met Jeremy at the shop. He showed me how to use the system, I forgot how to from last year. Since no one showed up, it was just me riding. I did a 15 mile course that had a gradual climb, nothing crazy. I rode for 50 minutes. I wanted to get to an hour but I had to hustle and get ready for work.



I was exhausted by the end of the day. Usually I feel pretty good when doing an early morning workout. I haven’t been sleeping well, so that probably didn’t help. Mark and I got home from work and just hung out, caught up on Revenge (that show gets crazier every season). I tried to go to bed early but my internal clock doesn’t allow me to go to sleep before 10:00p.m. I did get a new pillow that was fantastic! I couldn’t believe I actually liked it. I am hoping it works out.
